Last Ski Day :(
Well today was our last day skiing and it didn't disappoint. Clear skies, everybody skiing amazingly well. The standard has been as high as any trip I have ever ran.
We bought our instructors some little presents and they were very grateful and complimentary about our group. Jasi our rep who is originally from Bosnia, but lives in Vienna now has been outstanding. In all honesty he has made our trip! Nothing has been too much trouble and he has been with us all day, every day, even when we have been skiing. This is really unusual as during the day, the reps tend to go off on their own, but Jasi has stayed with us. We have plenty of tired legs as you can see from some of the pictures below. If i have time I will add more pictures and video later.
Phil has put together a film of the week that we are going to show tonight. Then its the room tidy tomorrow and away we go!
Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow!

Ski Day 5
We had a bit of relaxing night last night
as a lot of people had tired legs. We had a walk to the shops and then some
decided to make use of the facilities and play football and basketball in the
sports hall, whilst some just relaxed and enjoyed the free wi fi.
The beginners group have done so well. They have tackled some really difficult
slopes on this only their fourth day skiing. It’s a bit of a Eureka moment when they turn
around and look up at the slope they have just skied down! I will try and put a video up of them. The other 2 groups have skied a bit together
today and the middle group have come on so much that you could barely see the
difference between them. They are
pretty much doing red and even some black runs with ease now.
We are off shopping tonight. I will try and encourage the children to
bring some presents back for you!

Some great videos…..
Skiing underneath a barrier
Trying the same
Succeeding this time
Serious air time!!!
Ski Day 4
Ski Day 4
The swimming pool was so much fun. It was a real water park with lots of slides and a diving board. The pizzas were great as well. Lots of people got seconds.
Consequently there were a few tired bodies on the slopes today. The top group went out for the day into another valley to a ski park. They attempted some jumps and they even did a mystery animal hunt where they were rewarded with some stickers. The middle group is also still flying. Today they attempted some difficult red runs and they all came down unscathed. The beginners group are now up to parallel turning. This is probably the biggest achievement of the week so far, especially after only 4 days skiing.
We are going to have a quieter night tonight and put a film on in the cinema room and maybe a short walk to the shops. I hope you are all enjoying the blog. I will try to upload some videos later!

Ski Day 3
Ski Day 3
What another amazing day of skiing. Glorious sunshine yet again! I have had to go out and buy extra sun cream!
All 3 groups are on the mountain now.
Group 1 (the most experienced group) are flying and can ski pretty much
like the Austrian locals, they really are that good. Group 2 ventured on to the other side of the
mountain. They also have a few new
recruits from Group 3 who have been moved up by the instructors because they
are doing so well. Group 3 have made the
most progress today. Going right up to
the top of the mountain on only your third day skiing is a great
achievement. Their instructor ‘Reinhart’
is an older instructor with lots of experience and he has got them really well
drilled.
Last nights ice cream was at a lovely
Italian restaurant and it was really nice, so nice in fact some of the boys and
girls decided to order extra pizza from them after they had finished.
It is swimming and Pizza night
tonight. It’s a good job that they
decided to test the food last night as we are going to the same place. Lets just say everybody is looking forward to
it. The swimming pool looks great with
lots of slides that go outside of the building.
I will report back tomorrow!
